Coleman Camping Gear – shocking customer service

Our hols this year have mostly involved sleeping in a tent, so  reliable, comfortable sleeping gear is essential to a happy trip.
In the wee small hours this past weekend,  I found myself  sinking toward the chilly ground, not a pleasant sensation at an elevation of 7,200 with the wind gusting vigorously around the tent. The cause was a missing rubber valve allowing a tiny amount of air to escape from my air bed.
In fairness we have had this mattress a good few years, in fact I bought it when pregnant with #2 child  (it was the only way I could sleep with the bump), she turns 6 in October, it has lasted us well.
Sigh – maybe it’s time to replace it, but I hate to throw out a whole queen size bed air bed  for lack of a small piece of rubber. I hunted about on ebay for replacement bits, then thought I’d try the crazy notion of attempting to contact customer service.
I chose IM and connected to a customer service rep almost immediately. She was not only pleasant and helpful, but also remembered me when I messaged again after getting disconnected!
I explained my problem, she asked for my mailing address (no credit card deets) and said she’ll send a replacement stopper.
It was just that easy!
I was so pleasantly surprised I felt I had to share, especially as I have been stocking up on new camping gear in the labor day sales and Coleman features heavily in our outdoor kit
So no fees payed for this mention or items received beyond the much anticipated cap, I just wanted to share some great customer service!
Do you have any great-gear or great customer service you think is worth a mention?
***Quick update-It arrived already! So I contacted them Tuesday, posted here Wednesday, my new stopper arrived today (Friday), no charge, well done  Coleman, you’ve got a fan for life here!

Wow, I’m actually a bit speechless right now. Thank you to Fooducate for posting about the disgusting truths about some organic produce on Facebook.  You’ve inspired me to write this disgruntled post.
We know that antibiotics are given to non-organic livestock to prevent disease and encourage growth.
But, did you know that organic apples and pears are also treated with antibiotics?
Love the picture of Tristan wearing his light blue chemical-free 50+UPF Sunny Sleevez :D

Phelps -Most Decorated Olympian Ever!

Michael Phelps became the most decorated Olympian with a neck-straining 19 Medals at the 2012 Olympics!
Phelps won silver in the 200 butterfly and finished off the historic night by winning gold in the 4×200 freestyle relay earlier on Tuesday. Before the relay Phelps told his teammates: “You better give me a big lead,” Phelps said with a big grin, “and they gave it to me. So I just wanted to hold on. And I thanked them for being able to allow me to have this moment. It has been a pretty amazing career but we still have a couple of races left.”
Even though he won silver in the 200m butterfly, he was upset with the finish: “Obviously I would have liked to have a better outcome in the 200 fly,” Phelps said. “You know, I was on the receiving end of being touched out. Chad swam a great race. It’s obviously my last one, I would’ve liked to win, but 1:53 flat isn’t a terrible time.”
Well Phelps may not have won the 200m butterfly for the 3rd consecutive game, but 19 medals is not too shabby!
In addition Michael Phelps is also the recipient of a pair of Sunny Sleevez 50+UPF sun sleeves.
Phelps nabbed the royal blue “Skate Style” sun protectors at the Kids choice awards where he was honored as “Favorite Male Athlete”
FUN FACT: While training, Michael needs an Olympic sized breakfast! He eats two egg-and-cheese sandwiches, a bowl of grits, a large omelet and a tall stack of chocolate chip pancakes.
